Day 1: Entebbe

Day 2: Local flight from Entebbe – Kidepo Valley National Park
After a restful night have a relaxed breakfast and depart for the airport to board a local flight to Kidepo setting off at 12:30 hours arriving 14:45 hours. This journey leads to one of Africa’s finest wildernesses with great ariel views of the remote villages and homesteads of the Acholi and Karamojong people. Arrive this famous valley that is home of Kidepo National Park to be met at the airstrip by our safari guide to transfer to your overnight accommodation. This park is one of the most beautiful in Africa, and is voted third best on the content by the CNN travel channel. Check in and have late lunch at your overnight accommodation. Go out to visit a local Karamajong home stead (Manyatta) after your lunch meal. Get to meet the Karamajong elders and have a walk around and learn about their culture in an interactive way. Conclude the visit with by participating in a cultural dance through which different Karamajong practices are expressed. Make sure your camera is well charged you will thank yourself later. Today we might witness a great African sunset too! We return to our overnight accommodation for dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savanna Lodge.-budget Meal plan: breakfast, lunch dinner.
Day 3: Kidepo National Park – Game drive and a nature walk
Depart in the morning after breakfast and carry with you packed lunch for the game drive along the palm trees lined besides Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches, giant eland, zebras, Jackson’s hartebeest hyenas, bat-eared fox, lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards and tortoise plus more. The search continues till lunch time. Find a nice place to enjoy our lunch under the African sky in the wilderness. After lunch we’ll stretch our legs on a guided nature walk in the park accompanied by an armed ranger. Bring well charged cameras for this activity, the photo opportunities here are magnificent. Thereafter return to the hotel to refresh, relax and have time to enjoy the evening in a wilderness like no other. Day 4: Kidepo valley National Park – Gulu town
Relaxed breakfast transfer to Gulu for lunch and spend the night there. Gulu is the biggest town north of Uganda with its growth curtailed by the insurgency caused by the lord’s resistance Army for several years before it ended a couple of years ago. Life is back to normal with busy streets and safety guaranteed to allow visitors move freely. Today the afternoon is free for you to rest and unwind but the option to drive around the town and see the local markets is possible. Dinner and overnight at Churchill Courts -budget. Day 5: Gulu – Murchison Falls National Park
Depart Gulu at 73:0am after a relaxed breakfast and full of safari memories about Kidepo heading to Murchison Falls National Park. This Park is Uganda’s oldest located at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley. It is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 44m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the center piece of the park. The Murchison falls are known to be the world’s most power water fall and the park has hosted visitors like former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill; and former American president Theodore Roosevelt among others. This park is also home to a diverse bird and mammal species.
Arrive the park to check into our overnight accommodation and have lunch. Go for a 2-3 hour boat cruise after lunch on the River Nile. Highlights of this boat cruise include: Nile crocodiles, hippopotamus, and lots of bird life along the river banks. Day 7: Fort portal to Rwanda – Ruhengeri
Today we start off early and start the journey by 6:00am after breakfast aiming to reach the border to Rwanda early enough to beat the border queues in good time lunch is en-route. Cross over and head straight to Ruhengeri for the night. Arrive to check in to our overnight accommodation and unwind for the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight at La Palme Hotel – mid-range. Day 8: Ruhengeri – Kigali
Today we start off with a relaxed breakfast before moving out for a day visit to meet a local family in Ruhengeri community to learn from them how to make local crafts, and cook like an indigenous person. Have a look at some local music instruments, watch a local dance and share a meal before embarking on the drive to Kigali. Arrive to check in and unwind. Dinner and overnight at Mills Colin Hotel. Day 9 Kigali – Flight Home
After breakfast visit the genocide memorial center and a modern but traditional market with an African historical heritage where local artists & food vendors show case their goods. This Cultural Village also houses events, workshops, festivals and music shows. This is a good place to understand Rwanda’s history and growth through the years to date.
