INTRODUCTION

Zanzibar known as the spice Island, the beautiful Island of Zanzibar on Africa’s East Coast bursting with culture and history; seemingly at odds with its idyllic geography of white- sand beaches with palms swaying lazily in the sea breeze. Together this makes Zanzibar a fabulous place to explore as well as dream to relax and unwind.

The capital is Zanzibar City, located on the island of Unguja. Its historic center is Stone Town, which is a World Heritage Site. Today many of the winding streets and high townhouses of old Stone Town remain unchanged and visitors can walk between different famous and historical the Sultan’s Palace, the House of Wonders, the Portuguese fort and gardens, the merchants’ houses, and the Turkish baths of the old city. Day-long spice tours to working plantations offer visitors the chance to observe the cultivation of cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices that have made the island famous.

On the east coast, waves break over coral reefs and sand bars offshore, and low tide reveals small pools of starfish, small minnows, and anemones. Up north, ocean swimming is much less susceptible to the tides, and smooth beaches and white sand make for dazzling days in the sun.

The guest may do this tour in club or cocktails party after having their dinner at any stone town best restaurant. You can enjoy the night in stone town at club with live playing band and karaoke or live traditional Taarab (Zanzibar Arabic music taste) enjoying the Zanzibar at night. Then the guide will take the guest back to the hotel for rest and prepare for tomorrow tour.

OR

The Night Market perhaps best represents Zanzibar’s wonderful amalgamation of cultures and cuisines.

After sunset, this quiet corner of Stone Town is almost unrecognizable. The once calm Sea walk is rapidly filled with chefs, clad in white hats, setting up gas lamps, grills and rotisseries, spreading out their wares across rows of tables. Forodhani BBQ Park is a culinary ground for all—visitors and locals pour in, families gather with small children, and of course, the tenacious stray cats hunker down and wait for scraps. The chefs are a blur of motion, excitedly pointing to their culinary creations, cooing and coaxing until even the most hesitant eater gives in to their expertly spun sales pitches.

We offer this tour to our guest so that they experience fresh seafood local chef preparing right there and selling them in the park. The guests love to do this this tour because they able to share the night with locals with great weather of FORODHAN PARK.

A prison built in 1892. It was never actually used as a prison and currently an attraction for tourists as it is known as a famous place for the giant tortoise. After a 30min boat ride with a beautiful view of Stone Town one also gets to see the other three island thus grave island, Snake Island and Bawe island, guests will meet the contemporary inhabitants of the island and the giant tortoises which were banned from the city of Stone Town which are more than 200 years.

Island was used as a penitentiary for rebel slaves by the sultans from the 1860s until the end of the slave trade. After which the British began building a prison on the island under the guidance of First Governor, Lloyd Matthews. This was completed in 1894. However, the ‘prison’ was only ever used as a quarantine Centre for possible yellow-fever victims.

There you will be able to see the giant tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the 19th Century. Also beautiful marine creatures, coral reef and it is also a best site for doing Snorkelling. Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises, some of which are over a hundred years old. If you have time you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior where you will see a wide variety of birds, colourful peacocks, bats and beautiful butterflies.
